TELSTRA 5G UPGRADES ON HIGH VOLTAGE TOWERS

Qualcon have been upgrading High Voltage (220Kv to 500Kv) transmission towers with new 5G equipment for Ericsson & Telstra and it is completely changed our perception on safety.
Every Panduit cut-off, unused bolt and redundant cable had to be carefully removed and securely disposed placed into our pole bags. Even with this restrictive environment we still managed to completed our work safely.
Working under the expert guidance of accredited linesmen and planning meticulously our combined team far exceeded client expectations on these builds by delivering each site before it’s deadline and with no variations.

UPGRADING ROOFTOP SITES WITH 5G FOR TELSTRA & OPTUS

Rooftop installations always bring their own complexities to each build, usually in the form of onsite redesign.

We fix new steelwork to walls, provide structural strengthening solutions, onsite redesign and build efficiencies into our planning to reduce onsite times by preparing equipment off site.

We have been building rooftops for years and we use this experience to reduce project and safety risks.

Removal of high value assets for Telstra

We aim to maintain, protect, and safely relocate our clients’ telecommunications networks to prevent unwelcomed disturbance.

On this job we successfully removed asbestos pits, concrete manholes and redundant cabling.

When everything was removed, we backfilled the cavities left behind with crushed rock and bitumen to allow access for 40m piles to be drilled by a mammoth piling rig!

Donvale gets pressurised sewer

Our team assisted Yara Valley water in connecting 1500 residents in Donvale, Victoria to pressurised sewer and removing their septic tanks from service.

Gravity feed sewer systems could not cope with undulating ground conditions and most of the residents living in Donvale had to put up with septic tanks until 2020.

Because of the Donvale Sewer Upgrade septic tanks, boggy yards, unpleasant odors and polluted waterways have been nearly eliminated for residents.

What will we do in the future?

Where some businesses see a bleak future, we choose to see a future full of potential.

We are scaling back our NBN, Telstra & TPG fixed line operations in 2021 and charging into 2022 with new focus and determination, ensuring we will be a civil construction and wireless telecommunications partner our clients can count on.
